Sexologists believe that the most favorable option is when foreplay lasts twice as long as sex with penetration. Foreplay usually includes kissing, genital stimulation, oral sex, and if you pay more attention to it, a woman is more likely to achieve orgasm.
The average duration of sexual intercourse for heterosexual couples is 19 minutes, of which 10 are foreplay and 9 are actual vaginal sex. At the same time, 52% of respondents noted that they were satisfied with this situation, and 19% of women and 23% of men would like sex to last longer.
It is not known what exactly they want to prolong - the foreplay or the act itself, but the difference is significant. Some men believe that the longer the penis is inside the vagina, the better, but women, as a rule, disagree, and 10 minutes is enough for them.
Interestingly, this study does not match the results of others - perhaps because sex toy buyers are more involved in the process.
A survey of 2,000 people in 2008 showed that the average duration of an act is 3-7 minutes, and the entire process is 7-13. Last year, a Cleveland University survey of 500 couples recording their results over the course of a month found numbers ranging from 45 seconds to 33 minutes, with an average duration of 5.5 for sex itself and 13 for all of it.
