It seems that a new frontier has been reached in the rapidly changing world of artificial intelligence. But despite the rapid development of technology, they can still be called moral degenerates.

With the recent advert for "Roxxxy TrueCompanion", a robot that you can purchase and simulate rape with a simple toggle in settings, this has become a subject of debate.

One of the robot's programming personalities is called "Frigid Pharah", described on the company's True Companion website as reserved and shy. As in the case of "Wild Wendy" or simply unemotional S Susan, the characteristics are attributed only to themselves. And if you touch her private area, then most likely she will not reciprocate.

The model's web page description lacks an attempt to replicate consent in the real world, and the company claims that their robots "enable everyone's deepest sexual fantasies."

One of the examples of programmed personalities that has been sharply criticized by the outside is "Young Yoko". As described on the website: "... so fresh (just turned 18) and waiting for your instructions on how to learn it!".

Roxxy is the 9th version of the company's sex robots, after they created their first "Trudy" in the 1990s and the robot trade has already become very popular. California-based firm Abyss Creations delivers up to 600 hyper-realistic sex dolls worldwide each year, according to figures provided by The New York Times.

A report released by the Foundation for Responsible Robotics also warns of the many ethical implications of our sexual interactions with mechanical beings.

“We discovered that there are actually a lot of companies doing this and tying off orders… And we wondered if we should really look at this…” Noel Sharkey told reporters on Tuesday.

According to a survey conducted by the British innovation company Nesta in June last year, more than a quarter of the young men and women surveyed would be very happy to communicate with a robot.

The foundation was founded 18 months ago by Professor Sharkey, who has been doing research on controversial topics. One of these concerns concerns the impact of robots on sex crimes.

Some people think it's better to rape robots than real people. Others think that this only encourages rapists even more,” Sharkey added.

Robots, in turn, themselves do not experience any emotions. As a rule, people communicate with robots using one single method. The fact that the artifact is not able to love you in return and this is the main sadness - that is, he considers himself unhappy - Professor Sharkey commented.

Laura Bates, head of the Everyday Sexism Project, outraged by Frig Farrah's product in the New York Times. She writes: “Rape is not an act of sensual love.” The current crime is violence.

We no longer need to push attackers to find a supposedly safe solution, but we must continue to help killers give them realistic and blood-splattering dummies to harden, ”concluded Ms. Bates.

True Companion robots are thinking about the implications of sexual crime regulations. The company's products confuse and worsen the still misunderstood area of agreement, according to Ms. Bate.

The head of True Companion, in an interview with The Independent, said: “We completely agree with Laura Bates .... Roxy, being unprogrammed to participate in the rape scenario and knowing this, other people deduced that she was not programmed.

You wouldn't rush to hug and kiss the person you just met on your first date right now. A spokesperson for the company said that if you try to "move too fast," the frigid Farrah will also remind you that she just met you.

“Rape is not an interaction that Roxxy supports. And also it is impossible to name the requests of our clients,” he specified.
