A California appeals court has revived lawsuits by two men who previously accused Michael Jackson of sexual assault. According to them, they were minors at the time.

Wade Robson and James Seifchak first filed the lawsuits back in 2013. However, they were dismissed twice at the time. In 2019, the men detailed what happened in Dan Reed's "Leaving Neverland." Two years later, the court once again dismissed their claims, saying that MJJ Productions Inc. and MJJ Ventures Inc. (owned by Michael Jackson) had no duty to protect the children in their care.

Ultimately, the appeals court disagreed, arguing that "a corporation that facilitates the sexual abuse of children by one of its employees is not relieved of its duty to protect those children merely because it is owned solely by the perpetrator of the abuse."

Meanwhile, the defense stated the following: "We remain fully convinced that Michael is innocent. These allegations are contrary to all credible evidence and independent corroboration. They were first made only years after Michael's death by people who are only motivated by money."

The first rumors that Michael Jackson is in a sexual relationship with underage boys appeared in the mid-90s, when the father of 13-year-old Jordan Chandler accused the star of sexual harassment. However, the trial on the case began only in 2003, because, according to rumors, the parents of the boy received compensation for silence.
