Medical professionals have weighed in on the impact of hot weather on sexual activity, advising individuals to exercise caution, particularly those with underlying health issues. While the heat and smog in Moscow may not significantly affect overall sexual activity, experts recommend refraining from sex for individuals with serious illnesses. According to a specialist from the Scientific and Methodological Center for Medical Sexology and Sexopathology of the Moscow Research Institute of Psychiatry, the impact of weather on sexual relationships varies from person to person, but those with conditions such as asthma or heart problems should avoid sex due to the additional risks posed by stable weather conditions.

However, for individuals in good health, there are no substantial restrictions on sexual activity during hot weather. Despite earlier claims by sexologists suggesting that abnormal heat significantly affects intimate relationships, recent insights indicate that such effects may not be as pronounced. Nevertheless, individuals should remain mindful of the potential risks associated with increased physiological strain during sexual activity in hot weather.

Experts caution that even at a comfortable room temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, the moment of orgasm can lead to a rapid increase in heart rate, sometimes reaching up to 200 beats per minute, and a spike in blood pressure to 230/130 mmHg compared to the normal 120/80 mmHg. The body faces heightened strain during hot weather, especially for individuals taking potency-enhancing medications like Viagra, which accelerate blood circulation, potentially straining the heart. As a precaution, men over 40 are advised to engage in sexual activity closer to evening or nighttime when temperatures are slightly lower.
