There are many beaches on the island of Corfu - long sandy and small, secluded beaches with small pebbles, scattered in the bays and hidden among the rocks. The beaches of Corfu are magnificent and the island is a true beach paradise. No wonder this Greek island is called the "island of beaches". This, of course, is its main advantage and a magnet for tourists who want to relax on the beach.

The most beautiful beaches of Corfu are located in the west of the island in the area of the resort of Paleokastritsa, which is considered the most picturesque. The rocky coastline with 6 bays of the Ionian Sea with clear, blue water hides beautiful sandy and pebbly beaches, as well as picturesque cliffs rising from the water. Some of the beaches can only be accessed from the sea, so it's worth taking advantage of the region by cruising along the coast and relaxing on your chosen beach as a precaution. The most beautiful beach, accessible only from the sea, is Paradise Beach, surrounded by high cliffs and washed by turquoise water.

Caves Blue grottoes and sheer cliffs with breathtaking views are the highlight of the region.

In this area, a favorite place for tourists is the small pebble beach of La Grotta, located at the foot of huge picturesque cliffs. Among them there is a beach bar where you can have a coffee, a drink and a snack. From some points on the rocks, the most daring vacationers jump into the water.

The most picturesque beach of Corfu is Agios Georgios, stretching along the coast for 2 km, located on the northwestern coast in the village of the same name. The village, with its pastel colored buildings, is nestled among picturesque hills, olive groves and vineyards. The beautiful sandy beach is lapped by the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea for refreshing swimming and water sports. Hills with dense vegetation and huge picturesque rocks rise above the bay. There are many restaurants and hotels along the beach, which ensures a comfortable stay

The beautiful, large beach of Agios Stefanos with silky fine sand and a very gentle slope into the water is well equipped and easily accessible for tourists. The coast is located in the western part, and the beach is the largest on the island. The beach goes to the open sea, so there are often big waves on Agios Stefanos. The beach is an ideal place for lovers of water sports. In the center of the beach, a tourist infrastructure is developed, and in the northern direction, where magnificent cliffs rise, the beach becomes more wild. The biggest attraction of this unspoilt part of the beach are the mud baths, as the healing clays found here have a wonderful effect on the skin.

From Logas beach, which is located at the foot of large sandy cliffs in the small village of Peroulades, in the northwest of the island, you can watch the most beautiful sunsets in Corfu. The coastline here consists of several sandy small beaches, which are reached by steep steps from the cliffs. The beaches are shaded by rocks, and the sun only appears here in the afternoon.

Not far from the port of Kassiopi are the rocky beaches of Batari and Imerolia. Although these beaches are not covered with fine sand, tourists are attracted by the picturesque scenery and beautiful views of the Albanian coast and the blue Ionian Sea.

In the west of the island in the bay of Glyfada there is a very popular and best beach in Corfu and even in all of Greece. This is a wide beach of Glyfada, 2 km long, with soft golden sand. The beach is well equipped with sports and entertainment facilities, replete with taverns, hotels and attractions designed for tourists of all ages. This is an ideal beach for families with children. In the southern part of Glyfada there is a separate section of the beach intended for nudists.
